Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
1. Overview
Real QR Generator ("we", "us") lets you create QR codes. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. Generating a static QR code on the homepage requires no account and no data leaves your browser except the content you choose to encode.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: if you sign up, we store your name, email address, and, if you use Google sign-in, your Google account ID and profile image.
- Session data: we log the IP address and browser user-agent associated with your login sessions for security purposes.
- Dynamic QR code data: for dynamic (retargetable) codes, we store the destination URL or uploaded image, its label, and color settings. Uploaded images are stored via Cloudflare R2.
- Scan analytics: when someone scans a dynamic QR code, we record the timestamp, referrer, browser user-agent, and country. We do not store the scanning visitor's precise IP address or any other personally identifying information about them.
- Billing data: if you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan, and billing status — we never see or store your full card number.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide and maintain the QR code generation, redirection, and analytics features.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Respond to support requests sent to us directly.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-party services
We rely on the following third parties to operate the service:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Google — optional OAuth sign-in.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and storage (R2) for uploaded images.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.
5. Data retention
We keep account and QR code data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a dynamic QR code or your account, we remove the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain billing records for legal or accounting purposes.
6. Your rights
You can access, update, or delete most of your account data directly from your dashboard. To request a full export or deletion of your data, contact us at the address below and we'll handle it promptly.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your light/dark theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
