Why use this generator
Works with any menu link
PDF menu, Google Doc, or a page on your own site — if it has a URL, this can encode it.
No sign-up for a fixed menu
If your menu link won't change, a free static code is all you need.
Update seasonally with a dynamic code
Menus change with the seasons — a dynamic QR code lets you swap the destination without reprinting table tents.
Print-ready
Download as PNG for table tents and stickers, or SVG for large-format prints like window decals.
Tips before you print
Host the menu somewhere stable
A QR code is only as reliable as the link behind it — a broken link means a broken code, however good the print looks.
Keep the destination link short
Long URLs make denser QR codes that scan less reliably at small sizes — use a link shortener if your menu URL is long.
Consider a dynamic code if your menu changes often
Seasonal or daily specials are exactly the case where updating a link beats reprinting stickers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a PDF menu? +
Yes — as long as your PDF is hosted somewhere with a public URL, paste that link into the generator.
Does this create the menu itself? +
No — this generates a QR code that links to a menu you host elsewhere (your website, Google Drive, a PDF host, etc.).
What if I update my menu every week? +
With a static code, keep the destination URL the same and just update the content at that link. If you want to point to a completely different link later, that needs a dynamic QR code.
What size should I print it? +
For a table tent scanned from arm's length, about 2.5–3cm (1 inch) square is typically enough — test the scan distance before printing in bulk.
Can I track how many people scan the menu? +
Not with a free static code. Scan analytics require a dynamic QR code on a paid plan.
Menu changes with the seasons?
A dynamic QR code keeps the same printed code working while you update what it points to — no reprinting table tents every menu change.
