Why use this generator
No account needed
Static Wi-Fi codes are free forever and don't require signing up.
Works with WPA, WPA2, and WEP
Pick your network's security type and we encode it correctly.
Nothing leaves your browser
The QR code — password included — is generated locally. We never see or store it.
Print-ready in seconds
Download as PNG for printing or SVG for crisp scaling on any size sign.
Tips before you print
Test it before you print
Scan the code yourself with a phone before printing dozens of copies — a typo in the network name is the most common mistake.
Changing your password breaks the code
A Wi-Fi QR code is static — it encodes the password at the moment you generate it. Rotate your password and you'll need a new code.
Hidden networks need the checkbox
If your network doesn't broadcast its name, check "Hidden network" or connected devices won't find it automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work on iPhone and Android? +
Yes — both iOS 11+ and Android 10+ read Wi-Fi QR codes natively through the camera app, no extra app required.
Is my Wi-Fi password safe? +
The QR code is generated entirely in your browser — your password is never sent to our servers.
Can I update the password later without reprinting? +
Not with a static code — the password is baked in. If you need to change it without reprinting, that requires a dynamic QR code, available on paid plans.
What's the difference between WPA and WEP? +
WPA/WPA2 is the security standard almost every modern router uses. WEP is an older, less secure standard — only pick it if your router specifically requires it.
Do I need to enter a password for open networks? +
No — select "None" as the security type and leave the password blank.
Need to change the destination later?
Static codes are free but permanent. If you want to update where a code points without reprinting it, or see how many times it's been scanned, that needs a dynamic QR code.
